RESIDENTIAL SERVICES
To our children and young people
Verity Shores aims to be an active and trusted part of the local children’s services community. Our approach is grounded in empowering children and young people to make informed choices within a safe, supportive environment. We create space for growth, self-discovery, and a deeper understanding of who they are and where they belong.
Through a therapeutic, thoughtful approach to care, we take the time to understand each child as an individual, ensuring their emotional, social, and developmental needs are met with care, consistency, and respect.
Why are we doing this?
At Verity Shores, we believe every child deserves a true sense of belonging and the feeling of being part of something positive. Our aim is to provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive home for children and young people when they are unable to live with their families. We lead with care, kindness, and consistency, offering warmth, clear boundaries, encouragement, and pride in each child’s progress. We believe in helping every young person feel valued, supported, and confident in who they are and who they are becoming. Our children are our future.
What will we do?
We provide children and young people with consistent care, stability, and the kind of support they may not have previously experienced. We help them understand their emotions, develop healthy coping skills, and grow in confidence. Our approach is holistic, supporting each child’s emotional, social, cultural, educational, and wellbeing needs. We work closely with families, local authorities, schools, and specialist services to ensure joined-up care. Through encouragement and practical support, we help young people believe in their abilities and feel prepared for the next steps in their future.
How will we do this?
At Verity Shores, our staff are our greatest strength. The quality of care we provide depends on a skilled, experienced team who consistently demonstrate our values, commitment, and dedication, beyond qualifications alone.
We actively listen to feedback from children and young people and use it to continually improve our service. We follow best practice across education, wellbeing, mental health, and healthy living, ensuring every child has access to enriching experiences and appropriate therapeutic support.
We carefully consider each child’s identity, background, and individual needs when making placements, and work closely with local authorities, regulators, and partner professionals to uphold the highest safeguarding standards and challenge poor practice where necessary.
